Rock in Rio 2015, held in Rio de Janeiro, conducted several ‘Auctions for Good’ through eSolidar. There were 553 bids for a total of 34 auctions affiliated with Rock in Rio. eSolidar raised over £27,000 pounds at Rock in Rio on behalf Conservation International Brazil.
The most successful auction was the tribute guitar to celebrate 30 years of Rock in Rio, built by John Cruz, a speciality designer at Fender Guitars. With 67 bids, the guitar raised over £5,000. Another auction of a Dolphin Rocket ST guitar autographed by members of Queen and Adam Lambert closely followed, with 43 bids, raising nearly £3,000 for charity. Other contributors included Muse, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Arcade Fire, Katy Perry, One Republic, John Legend, Maroon 5 and Linkin Park.
eSolidar are proud to have been Rock in Rio’s first choice to organise these charitable actions and are looking forward to raising more funds and awareness going forward. The proceeds from eSolidar’s auctions will support a crucial environmental cause.
The proceeds from these auctions benefited Conservation International Brazil and the Instituto-E, which are using the funds to plant 26,000 trees in the Guandu River Basin, one of the key water sources for the city of Rio de Janeiro.
